Cross-walk Anxiety
This semester I live conveniently across campus in a cozy little apartment, but even though I live 50 yards away from the campus, it still requires me to cross the street, which gives me terrible anxiety. I get to the cross-walk and there's always all these cars that are coming and going and I never know if one car is going to stop, or if they think they should go... It's a terrible predicament that I am put in multiple times a day. Now cross-walks and cars are very different in college town mind you. It seems that they all forget that pedestrians have the right-a-way, and everyone is trying to hurry to their class. So alas I am faced with the anxiety of crossing the street and hoping that I don't get run over several times a day...

I know, right?! I just had to comment on this because I live just across from campus too, right across from the Hinckley Building. I was excited to live so close, so excited that I forgot I'd have to cross that busy street a couple times a day. A lot of them don't even slow down! I've decided to wait until my husband is out of classes so he can at least walk home with me sometimes, when he's not at work. Yeah, it scares me that much. Pathetic, huh?
