Family Rules
Every family has certain "rules," whether stated, or unstated, that create boundaries in a family system. In class this week we talked about these rules and how they shape a family. A functional family is a family with a lot of family rules. Some rules may include: eat what mom cooked, or don't eat at all; don't talk back to your parents; ask mom before you ask dad; or never ask mom and dad for money. What are your family rules, and how have they shaped your family?
